We worship through songs, joys & concerns, scripture reading & discussion and a craft. We even have a monthly memory verse that we work on during the Children's Church service.

The Fall season is upon us, which means that Christmas is around the corner. As usual, the choir is starting their rehearsals for the upcoming Christmas Cantata. This year, the Choir will be performing "Light Looked Down," a cantata that is sure to be fantastic worship event. If you are, or have ever been, interested in singing with the choir, now is the perfect time! We meet every Wednesday from 7:00-7:30 in the Choir Room. Whether you are a natural singer or just sing in the shower, we would love to have you come join us for what is sure to be a wonderful act of worship. If you are interested in singing with us this Christmas Season, flag me down after the service, or come out to our weekly Wednesday rehearsal.
Hope to see you all out there! Jesse White
Wednesday Exercise Class
As we get older, our balance tends to get worse. This can cause many accidental falls which in turn can be debilitating if you break a bone. As part of each class, we practice balancing in many different ways. If you feel you’re balance has become worse, exercising can help you with this. Strengthening, toning, stretching, and balancing, can improve your total body. Walking is a good exercise, but to get a full body workout you need to attend a fitness class. Simply once a week will help you. If you haven’t tried our exercise class on Wednesdays at 1:30 PM, please come and see what a difference it can make.
Exercising releases endorphins, which in turn can make you feel better and also have a real impact on your normal activities. I am a certified fitness instructor and I can modify any exercise to fit your ability. Come out and have a great time with us, I’m pretty sure you will enjoy it!

VOLUNTEERS, HELPERS & OUTREACH
Serve: Bishop Ott Shelter for Women & Children
WE NEED YOUR HELP:
On the fourth Saturday every month, our church needs 2-3 people to prepare food and take it to the Sweet Dreams Shelter for Women and Children in downtown Baton Rouge for their 6pm meal. This shelter is on the St. Vincent de Paul campus between Florida and Convention Street. All the St. Vincent shelters depend on volunteers in the BR area for all their evening meals. Preparers usually leave Gonzales about 5-5:15pm with the food, serve the meal, and return to Gonzales before 7:30pm. The meal requires a main dish, side vegetable, green salad w/dressing (or fruit), simple dessert, and ready-to-eat rolls. We usually prepare about 30-35 servings for the women and their children. Anyone can participate in this ministry, male or female, church member or not. If someone “isn’t a cook”, they can still participate in an important way by driving in or supplying non-cooked items. All you need is a heart for service, as we begin our 17th year of helping to feed disadvantaged women and children in our metro area.
We need people for these dates: NOV. 23, DEC. 28 Please contact Kaye Hertwig, 225-644-7923 or firstname.lastname@example.org
